Green Striped Mushroom Coral
I use two 75 watts marineland led strips in a 36 gallons redsea max tank.
Green striped mushroom coral. Striped varieties are usually green. Started with just one small frag. This strain is the classic green striped mushroom and priced accordingly.
These corals display a wide variety of colors textures and patterns. Mushroom corals require less light and some are capable of absorbing nutrients directly from the water column and can be voracious and aggressive eaters even devouring small fish at times. Mount the green striped mushrooms using ic gel glue or putty in the bottom half of the aquarium where they can reproduce and expand their colonies over the rock.
They were previously in a genus called discosoma. Mushroom corals nbsp discosoma sp are often incredibly colorful coral that resembles what we think of as a terrestrial mushroom. They also add a spot of color to low light areas in mature reefs.
I cultivate those mushrooms for five years. It is advised to leave plenty of space between it and other corals as well. The actinodiscus mushrooms are also referred to as mushroom anemones and disc anemones.
Some are solid colors whereas others are striped or spotted.
