Saltwater Feather Dusters
Hawaiian feather dusters secrete mucous that bits of substrate adhere to and that produces a cocoon like structure described as being similar in look and feel to heavy paper or leather.

They re definitely coming from the white tubes on the rock. Feather duster worms are members of the phylum annelida the segmented worms which includes the common earthworm. To me they look like it but just confirming.
Ok so i have flipped threw a bunch of the other threads and i am pretty sure these are orange feather dusters of some sort. Reef safe reef safe. The feather dusters belong to the class polychaeta one of the four classes of annelids.
Their body isn t unlike that of an earth worm. How common to this area these are one of the few things we import from the dr. These fan worms don t have a face and eyes but they are able to detect changes in the light and use that light sensitivity to protect them from predators.
